Chubb today announced the appointment of José Ramón Morales as Regional Executive Officer, Southern Region (Spain, Portugal, Italy) and Head of the Underwriting Centre, Continental Europe, Middle East and North Africa, effective April 1, 2026.
In this role, he will lead all aspects of the business in the Southern Region and take responsibility for the continued development of the Underwriting Centre in Madrid.
“José Ramón’s experience, background and leadership style make him well placed to lead the Southern Region, deliver the business plans and contribute more widely to the growth and success of the business in EMEA,” said Peter Kelaher, Division President, Continental Europe, Middle East, and North Africa.
José Ramón has 25 years of experience in insurance. He joins Chubb from Everest, where he has worked since 2022, initially as Head of Spain and subsequently as Head of Southern Europe. Before Everest, he held Country Leader roles at AXA XL and XL Catlin and a range of roles at Aon, QBE, and Gen Re.
